Real-life Robin Hood

Came across this interesting site called the Robin Hood Fund.

I don’t really have an opinion of it just, yet…other than I think it’s interesting. The idea behind it is that a community of people, like you and me, vote to make people’s wishes come true (I think you “vote” just by simply viewing a wish). Some of the wishes are very need-based—like a single mom needing oil to heat her home—and some of them are purely selfish—like a guy wanting a Wii (that wish was actually granted, by the way). The long and short of it is that every so often, winners are chosen to receive money to help them get their wishes granted. But you can also support a wish by donating directly to it. So if you’re in a generous mood, check it out!

False advertising, to a degree. You do get to help decide who gets money, and it doesn’t even have to be yours! But yeah…it’s not really as fun as stealing is. Just KIND OF.
