This is one of my favorite songs at the moment. I ran into it about 3 months ago, and it’s still getting constant play. However, I haven’t been able to purchase the full cd yet. It’s on my list to pick up in stores, but I’ve yet to find it. Anyways, the video is a bit NSFW since it has hot girls in bikinis and football helmets for a good part of it, but it totally gets super awesome at the 1 minute mark. Enjoy.
So as I was driving to work, I start to turn past McDonald’s, when I see
this older dude begin walking across the street (not in the crosswalk,
which is like 4 feet away). So I stop to wait for him, and guess what he
does? He actually goes a couple feet, slowly bends down, and picks up a
coin. A stupid coin. While I’m waiting for him to cross. Then he SLOWLY
stands back up and admires his freakin’ awesome find, which from my
observations is worth anywhere between 1 and a whopping 10 cents. He
finally finishes crossing the road, going as slow as humanly possible.
I can’t help but wonder if I was on some kind of hidden camera show, like
Boiling Point. But I think he was more likely just a weirdo. Or a coin collector…same difference.
First things first, we’ve switched to a new host: eleven2. So far things are great, super easy to get things moved, upgraded, and if it wasn’t for me being an idiot you would have seen the site switch over seamlessly on Friday. Alas, now I know that eleven2 has great customer support, and a friendly person to speak directly to over AIM. Hurray!
Also, I forgot to mention I jumped the gun a bit. I was super excited about the new hosting and new updated Wordpress that I pulled the trigger and switched over a bit too soon. You’ll notice that most, if not all of the pictures on the site are gone. Yeah… I have to fix all of that. 1,090+ posts to go through and modify if needed. Whoops!
Let’s move on to our next order of business. Update your links/feeds. We’re now at knowledgeultra.com — no /blog no nothing. Just the normal old domain. That was a dumb move in the first place, and I’ll take all of the blame. If you got here by going to /blog I automatically redirected you via .htaccess and you didn’t even know it. Oh yeah.
That’s all. More goodness coming in the following days.
I don’t know about you, but I enjoy electronic music. I’m not sure when or why I started listening to it and enjoying it, but I do know that I’ve always liked a good beat. “But where did those beats come from?” you may or may not ask. Well here’s a good way to find out.
You can listen to examples of about every kind of electronic music in existence. So explore and listen. You might even stumble across an old beat that has been sampled in a new song you like. I think I enjoy the drum & bass the most and the songs related to it (check under Jungle>Ragga>Jungle tracks 1 and 5). Now that I think of it, I saw the music video for Roni Size “Brown Paper Bag” (Jungle>Ragga>Jungle>Jazzstep track 4) in like the 8th grade or so and loved it immediately. That’s my first recollection of listening to this kind of music I guess. Well, here’s that video :)
