I don’t know about you, but I enjoy electronic music. I’m not sure when or why I started listening to it and enjoying it, but I do know that I’ve always liked a good beat. “But where did those beats come from?” you may or may not ask. Well here’s a good way to find out.
Ishkur’s Guide to Electronic Music
You can listen to examples of about every kind of electronic music in existence. So explore and listen. You might even stumble across an old beat that has been sampled in a new song you like. I think I enjoy the drum & bass the most and the songs related to it (check under Jungle>Ragga>Jungle tracks 1 and 5). Now that I think of it, I saw the music video for Roni Size “Brown Paper Bag” (Jungle>Ragga>Jungle>Jazzstep track 4) in like the 8th grade or so and loved it immediately. That’s my first recollection of listening to this kind of music I guess. Well, here’s that video :)

I just wanted to quickly say that this is one of the best things I’ve learned about lately. I checked it out on my Wii (it was totally awesome and fit) and ended up listening to stuff for over a half-hour. Then I shared the link with some friends and listened to some more things the next day. Not only did I find a bunch of new music I love, I actually know what the styles I really enjoy are. Plus, who knew I loved Ghetto Tech and Crunk music? Apparently I do. So yeah. Thanks a billion for posting this. If no one else cared, it was worth it just for my benefit.
