What did you… (Week 5)

Skippity-Doo-Dah it’s Friday! Soherewegoagain with a weekly look at “what did you enjoy” during this specific week of the year.

What did you listen to this week?

  • Blindside – Silence
  • Deftones – Saturday Night Wrist
  • Tenacious D- Tenacious D
  • Trance Podcasts

More trance. It’s great creative work music for the background. Blindside’s Silence album spun in the car numerous times over the last week. I’m leaning toward probably their best album, but I’ll have to maybe bust out their next one to make sure. All I can say is that their “Great Depression” album gave me some after listening to it. Yuck. The Deftones are on the list this week with a pretty solid album. I think there is only one song I don’t care for (#8) but all the others are pretty good. Way better than their “self-titled” album. Oh and it was Tenacious D time you mothereffer *POW!*. This is probably one of those albums that I’d bring on a deserted island with me if I ever desert myself on a deserted island. That last sentence made no sense… moving on.

What did you play this week?

  • Burnout Paradise (Xbox 360)
  • REZ HD (Xbox Live Arcade)
  • Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles (Wii – Gamecube Game)

Burnout Paradise is awesome! Absolutely love the open world driving aspect, but wish their was a multiplayer aspect for friends on the same console. We used to always have takedown competitions, but alas. The online is pretty boss though. REZ HD came out and I got it. Talk about great music! Wow. I missed the game when it first came out on the Dreamcast, but now I’ve got it in HD 5.1 surround sound glory. FF:CC was kind of rushed, but we ended up beating the level and we’re almost rich! Only two more steps and we’ve all got 100,000 gil!!!

What did you watch this week?

  • Paprika (DVD)
  • American Gladiators (TV)
  • Standup Comedy(TV)
  • LA Ink (TV)
  • Reno 911 (TV)
  • LOST (TV)

Paprika was a pretty trippy anime we rented. Absolutely amazing visuals! It was pretty good storywise for what it was. I’d say rent it if you’re into that sort of thing. American Gladiators, check. Hilarious standup comedy, check. LA Ink, and RENO 911, check & check. Lost, check. So this is the new show of the week. It’s back, we watched all two stupid hours of it. I’ll be honest, it’s been so long I needed the recap, and it only made me sad to remember all the crap we’ve yet to find out. Love the show, but can’t wait for it to end. Also, Hurley is the best character ever, and did I mention I can’t wait for the show to be over?

No reading, I’ve got better things to do than expand my mind. I’m out of here! Comment ahoy!
