What did you… (Week 11)

Hurray it’s the weekend! Let’s recap with a “what did you enjoy” during this specific week of the year.

What did you listen to this week?

  • Bob & Sheri (Radio)
  • Bob & Tom (Radio)
  • Pete Yorn – Music for the Morning After/The Day I Forgot/Nightcrawler
  • Afro Celt Soundsystem – Seed
  • Burnout Revenge Soundtrack

Bob & Sheri, and Bob & Tom on the way to work again. Lots of Pete Yorn. I must have gotten into a Pete Yorn mood again or something. I have a hard time figuring which album is my favorite of the first two (not Nightcrawler). Today, and yesterday, I listened to Afro Celt Soundsystem. They’re a mix of african, celtic, and electronic music. If you like any of those I mentioned you should definitely check them out. Also, today I listened to the soundtrack from Burnout Revenge. Nice mix.

What did you play this week?

  • Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles (Gamecube)
  • Flow (PSP)
  • Zack & Wiki: The Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure (Wii)
  • Patapon (PSP)
  • Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii)

I almost forgot to add games played last friday. Flow and FF:CC were played the most. Zack and Wiki I played on Saturday trying to kill time. I picked up Patapon and Super Smash Bros. Brawl on Sunday. I pretty much can’t put down Brawl. It is awesome. By far, the best Wii title out there. The load times and the fact that Nintendo sucks with online play are my only gripes (and the single player subspace isn’t that awesome). Anyways, everything else is absolutely golden (there is sooooo much awesomeness on the disc). I’m pretty sure I’ve played it every single day this week since I got it.

What did you watch this week?

  • Deja Vu (DVD)
  • Big Cat Diary (TV)
  • South Park (TV)
  • Wheel of Fortune (TV)
  • Cash Cab (TV)
  • LOST (TV)

Wow! Look at the new tv shows! We’ll skip Wheel of Fortune (which I rule at), Cash Cab (which I’m not as good at), and Lost (which I can’t wait to be over) since I’ve already mentioned them before. We rented Deja Vu from the library, and it was pretty descent. I don’t really want to go into story details, but I was actually surprised a bit (watch a trailer you lazy bum). Oh, Denzel Washington is always a gum chewing butthole and I don’t like him and his symmetrical face bugs me. Since we have Animal Planet for a few weeks, we enjoyed Big Cat Diaries. There was a baby cheetah, and it made me recall when I was younger and we would have imaginary pet animals that would help us fight crime. Mine was always a baby cheetah and baby wolf (what a badass team!). Little animals are awesome when used as weapons. Anyways, I think it was the first time I’d ever actually seen a baby cheetah. It looked awesome (and cute I’ll admit). It would be an awesome desktop wallpaper. Speaking of awesome, did you see South Park. Holy crap! Cartman got his tonsils out and ends up w/ HIV. I was CAPITAL LOL’ing at the mouth thing. Anyways, you should track it down and watch it. Also, who do you always think about when you think about HIV Positive??? (I want to hear in the comments) Everyone I’ve asked says the same person I think.

How much was a gallon of gas this week?

  • $3.27 (GetGo)

New “category” and it sucks. Since I drive so much for work, this is a huge deal. You’ll probably always see the “lowest” I can find it here.

Going to a child’s skating birthday party tonight. What are you/have you done! (in the comments!)

The first person that comes to mind when I hear “HIV positive” is Tom Hanks. I assume that’s due to his role in the Philadelphia movie. But I don’t think of his character Andrew Beckett, I think of TOM HANKS, which makes me also think of Forest Gump, and Forest had a lady friend named Jenny who died from being HIV positive. So that might add to it as well.

I saw a passion play on Saturday. The actor playing Jesus was 50 lbs overweight and his belly jiggled during the crucifixion. It was unfortunate.

PS: I got gas on Saturday (both kinds). The kind that cost money was $3.38/gallon.

    Gross! (to both comments)

Also, you’re the first person I’ve heard mention Tom Hanks. Neat.
