I laughed so hard when I watched this. I can just imagine my sweet old grandma trying to hook up one of those boxes! I’ve already had an older guy at work talk to me about his digital transition concerns. He was so worried that he won’t get TV next year, even though he has cable.

Our local station loves to scare the elderly about the transition, every single day. And they always emphasize that EVERYONE needs to worry about this, which makes me laugh a) that it just isn’t the case that everyone needs to do something to their TV’s and b) that they make it sound like such a bad thing.

It causes people around here to make statements such as, “Well, our wonderful government is at it again! Don’t they have anything better to do?” To which I would like to reply, “Yeah, and then I hear they’re talking about creating universal access to free wi-fi. Give me a break! Do something useful for a change!”

We will let you know the next time we are out that way! It might be a while. We thought we would come down for Thanksgiving, but it looks like we might be going to Williamsburg! Chad is overjoyed, as you can imagine. I think I remember him saying that if there is one thing he loves to do, it’s looking at old houses and people in costume. ;-)
