Do you have a PS3, PC, or even a Mac? If yes, wouldn’t you like that machine to help cure cancer? My answer is an emphatic YES! I used to use this little bit of software when I was at college but I have long since forgotten about it. If you haven’t heard about it, it’s basically technology started by Stanford University to turn as many computers as possible that are connected to the internet into one huge supercomputer. The software recreates the process of protein folding and misfolding in our bodies to find out where things go wrong. All types of PCs and Macs can process different kinds of information very well, especially gaming rigs with high-end graphics cards and/or those with dual and quad-core processors. The PS3′s cell processor is also a great tool for use with this project and has the easiest setup of all systems. I’ll be running it on my PC for sure.

To download or just read about it, visit the links in the words you just read.

Some of you have always wondered how big of a nerd I am. Today, I give you proof. Yesterday, I found myself playing Magic: The Gathering Duels of the Planeswalker on XBLA and kicking so much butt I had to videotape and upload to YouTube. I did this really to just show mjblink and my brother-in-law but why not share the awesomeness that is the Howl of the Night Pack card which I tossed down right before filming.

The card puts a 2/2 green Wolf creature token into play for each Forest you control which I played with 7 Forests… Then I threw down Overrun (+3/+3 + Trample to all creatures) and destroyed the crap out of the CPU. They started with 28 HP (the normal HP at the start is 20) and I dealt them 35 damage. Anyways, I’m still pretty new at M:TG but why not show off my newb skillz.

To help celebrate the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ 25th anniversary, we decided to shine the spotlight on some of their more…unusual friends, foes and cohorts. You see, while most of us were trying to figure out if we were a Leo or a Don, toymaker Playmates was busy churning out the wildest, wackiest assortment of action figures ever seen! Not all of these characters made their way into the spotlight, so we here at ToyFare decided to give Dirtbag, Muckman and all their friends the attention they deserve. Who knows? Maybe you’ll rediscover that favorite unknown figure from your childhood!

I pretty much owned all but 8 of these at one point in time. You might even notice I use some of these characters in some films. So go check out the 20 Craziest Ninja Turtle Friends & Foes (you better recognize #7).
