Plus, have you heard that awesome song in the background? Holy crap is it awesome, and guess what!?! You can totally download it for free by visiting their website. The track is “The Perfect Meltdown” by Bones Domingo, which now that I know that I want the rest of his music.

So as I was driving to work, I start to turn past McDonald’s, when I see
this older dude begin walking across the street (not in the crosswalk,
which is like 4 feet away). So I stop to wait for him, and guess what he
does? He actually goes a couple feet, slowly bends down, and picks up a
coin. A stupid coin. While I’m waiting for him to cross. Then he SLOWLY
stands back up and admires his freakin’ awesome find, which from my
observations is worth anywhere between 1 and a whopping 10 cents. He
finally finishes crossing the road, going as slow as humanly possible.

I can’t help but wonder if I was on some kind of hidden camera show, like
Boiling Point. But I think he was more likely just a weirdo. Or a coin collector…same difference.

Came across this interesting site called the Robin Hood Fund.

I don’t really have an opinion of it just, yet…other than I think it’s interesting. The idea behind it is that a community of people, like you and me, vote to make people’s wishes come true (I think you “vote” just by simply viewing a wish). Some of the wishes are very need-based—like a single mom needing oil to heat her home—and some of them are purely selfish—like a guy wanting a Wii (that wish was actually granted, by the way). The long and short of it is that every so often, winners are chosen to receive money to help them get their wishes granted. But you can also support a wish by donating directly to it. So if you’re in a generous mood, check it out!

The votes are in and the whining has just begun.

I’m extremely happy that my phone isn’t ringing off the hook anymore. For the past few days, I was getting 10+ calls a day with someone asking me to vote for their candidate. Of course, this did nothing but anger me to the point I was almost ready to keep track of who called and how many times just so they wouldn’t get my vote.

Honestly, I didn’t give a crap who was up for re-election. The only thing I thought was extremely important to me was Issue 5 (Smoke-Free Ohio). I don’t have a problem with people smoking, I just don’t want to be around it in an enviroment I can’t get away from it.

Most of the people I spoke with today were extremely pissed that it passed (or at least looked like it was going to pass). Someone said “How would you like it if you were fat and they wouldn’t serve you at McDonald’s since you’re fat?” I thought that made no sense at all and I said the idea is more like this. “If you’re in a restaraunt eating your food and you’re in the non-farting section, and then a bunch of people come and sit down in the farting section. They start farting it up and the smell comes over while you’re trying to eat. So now you’re trying to enjoy your meal, but all you can smell is their farts. Is that fair?”

I seriously should have ran the campaign for the Issue 5. I can just see the ads of the farting and non-farting sections. Oh well.

I’m sick of this election bullcrap though, and can’t wait for it to die down until next time. They always say “Your Vote Matters” and things of that nature. I never believed it though. I’m more of a believer in “Your vote matters if the person you voted for wins, if not it was really just a waste of time.”
