Oh hey, I bet you forgot I even wrote a new recap of a “what did you enjoy” during this specific week of the year… so sit back and read the no apology triple dosage.

What did you listen to this week?

Kung Fu Panda – “The Official Soundtrack”

Bitter:Sweet – “Drama”

Metronomy – “Pip Paine (Pay The £5000 You Owe)”

If you get a chance, make sure you check out either of the last two. They both rule.

What did you watch this week?

Wall-E (Theatre) – Pixar does it again.

Fido (DVD) A zombie movie set in a Pleasantville-esque town that you should rent.

Kung Fu Panda (Theatre) – Way awesomer than I imagined so it’s a must see.

Daniel Tosh Live at the Funny Bone (LIVE) – Hilarious.

Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D – 3D Glasses are required to enjoy.

The X-Files: Season 1 (DVD) – We had one week to watch 24 episodes, and we did it in six days!

Hellboy 2: The Golden Army – Better than the first, went a bit star warsy at one point, but awesome overall.

Dexter: Season 1 (DVD) – My new favorite serial killer (YOU NEED TO WATCH THIS).

The Chateau (DVD) – $3 DVD that stars Paul Rudd that we couldn’t make it halfway through (want my money back).

Otis (DVD) – Otis kidnaps girls and is sick and twisted. So is the family of the girl he kidnapped. Hilarity ensues.

The Dark Knight (Theatre) – If you haven’t seen this yet you’re a complete fool. (WHY SO SERIOUS?)

Wedding Daze (DVD) – Written by Michael Ian Black, stars Jason Biggs & Isla Fisher, and is pretty funny.

The X-Files: I Want to Believe (Theatre) – Enjoyable, but more like a long episode rather than an awesome movie.

Step Brothers (Theatre) – The funniest movie so far of 2008 (CAPITAL LOL).

Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay (DVD)- Full of laughs, but not as good as the first.

In Bruges (DVD)- I hate Colin Farrel, love Ralph Fiennes, and recommend you skip this film.

How much was a gallon of gas this week?

$3.65 (GetGo)

Finally coming down a bit. Still sucks, but sucks a bit less I guess.

Hope you had a great couple of weeks!

I’m late again/early (depending on which week we’re talking about) with a new recap of a “what did you enjoy” during this specific week of the year… so again with the double dosage.

What did you listen to this week?

The Knife – (Can’t remember the album)

Shuffle

So yeah, mjblink’s posting of “Heartbeats” made me love them. Also I have a funny storry. At work, I listen to new music a lot w/ free.napster.com. I was just jamming in my office when two coworkers come in and the song switches to “Hanging Out” (which I’d never heard before, since it was a first listen of new tunes) and the vocals get super deep (and it’s a woman singing) and it goes “I’ve got my dick hanging outta my pannnnnnntttsss.” Anyways, it was embaressing and everyone started laughing. The end. Also I’m still enjoying the shuffle.

What did you play this week?

WiiFit (Wii)

Super Smash Bros Brawl (Wii)

MarioKart Wii (Wii)

Super Smash TV (XBLA Arcade)

Had a friend over this week and we enjoyed some games he hadn’t played before. Good times were had.

What did you watch this week?

Get Smart (Theatre)

10,000 BC (DVD)

Attack of the Show(TV)

Wanted (Theatre)

Extras (DVD)

The Soup (TV)

Kenny vs. Spenny (TV)

Super High Me (DVD)

Get Smart was pretty funny and I totally enjoyed it. 10,000 BC was complete crap and although I only paid a $1, I thought it was overpriced. Boo! Attack of the Show and The Soup were fun to watch as always. We went to WANTED w/ my parents in the theatre, and it was quite enjoyable. The previews looked like total crap, but the reviews were positive and I caught a german or russian (cant’ remember) preview of it and it looked total boss. Anyways, we had free tickets and it was totally worth it. We finished Ricky Gervais’ EXTRAS season 2 and the Christmas special and it was great. If you’re a fan of the Office (british version) definately check it out. We got the 2nd and 3rd seasons of Kenny vs. Spenny (thank you mjblink) and they are great as always. CHECK IT OUT. Last but not least, we watched Super High Me yesterday. Doug Benson did a joke about the worst movie to watch while you’re high is Super Size Me, and then said he should film himself getting high for 30 days to make a movie. Someone thought it was a good idea and approached him and they did it. 30 days clean and 30 days super high. We learned a bit more about california laws and marijuana usage and it still boggles our minds why it’s not legal. This beckons a much larger discussion that I don’t have time for (and no we don’t smoke or do any sort of drugs ever) but it’s quite interesting non the less. Check it out sometime.

How much was a gallon of gas this week?

$3.89 (GetGo)

That was with a 20 cent discount!

Since no one recommends anything, I’ll just enjoy not checking the comments this week since I’m on vacation (suckers!).

I was out of town last weekend & too busy this week to post up my recap of a “what did you enjoy” during this specific week of the year… so you get the double dose!

What did you listen to this week?

Shuffle

For almost two weeks now, I’ve been shuffling my tunes. It’s quite nice actually, since each one is a surprise and I love them all! Highly suggested. If you want more details to who I listened to you can always hit up my last.fm page and see what I was jamming to at work.

What did you play this week?

WiiFit (Wii)

Super Smash Bros Brawl (Wii)

MarioKart Wii (Wii)

Resistance: Fall of Man (PS3)

Pain (PS3 Arcade)

Super Stardust HD Demo (PS3 Arcade)

Ok, you already know most of these by now. Let’s go to the PS3 games… No I didn’t get a PS3, I stayed at AceDaryl’s (and Amber baked me cookies and they were delicious) and he just got one. Super Stardust HD Demo was awesome, and he didn’t buy it but should have since his wife gave him the okay. Pain was free and came w/ the system as a download and for the few minutes we played it, I enjoyed it. I think the max fun on that title is had within 30mins though. Honestly though, how many times can you slingshot a character into something and enjoy it? (30 minutes… I just told you). Resistance: Fall of Man was the game I was most excited to play. As I was playing, I realized it was WWII w/ aliens. NOT. WHAT. I. THOUGHT. Glad I got to play it though. I watched him play MGS4 and there was a lot of sneaking and hiding in barrels. He died after playing an hour. I laughed. Thanks again!

What did you watch this week?

Men at Work (DVD)

Iron Man (Theatre)

Attack of the Show(TV)

Death at a Funeral (DVD)

Be Kind Rewind (DVD)

The Soup (TV)

Rambo (DVD)

The G4 preview is ending soon so I’m sad I won’t see Attack of the Show after this next week. I do still have the Soup though, and that’s great. Speaking of great… movies with Charlie Sheen and his brother Emilio Estevez! Men at Work was enjoyable, and has one of the greatest endings to a film ever. I won’t spoil it, so head to your library and request it for free. We saw Iron Man in Cincy in a nice theatre and it was fun to see it again with family. Ummmm… we rented Death at a Funeral which was hilarious and britishy (and we both busted a gut laughing at one scene… almost cried). Be Kind Rewind was great and I totally want to make more movies again (I’ve written two shorts this week). Last but not least, I rented RAMBO for $1. It was a thousand times better than I ever expected and I’ll probably end up watching it again sometime. Nice job Stallone. I never would have expected to write that sentence ever.

How much was a gallon of gas this week?

$3.90 (Speedway)

That was the cheapest I’ve gotten it lately. :(

What have you watched/listened to/played that you can recommend? I’m being serious here. I want some recommendations!

Here’s your monkey-sniffing-poop-finger-free recap of a “what did you enjoy” during this specific week of the year.

What did you listen to this week?

Filter – Anthems For The Damned

I completely skipped Filter’s – The Almagamut… but this is pretty sweet and I’ve really been enjoying it. Reminds me of my favorite cd they did (Title of a Record).

What did you play this week?

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Trials & Tribulations (DS)

Project Gotham Racing 4 (Xbox 360)

WiiFit (Wii)

I’ve already talked about the first two a few times… So yeah. The wife wanted WiiFit and I figured I could use the stretching/yoga stuff to help out my back. This computer stuff is terrible for it. Anyways, I’m “overweight” (when I started I was “normal” but so close to the edge) and yeah. It’s enjoyable, and I really do enjoy the stuff I’ve done. Just wish I had a bit more time sometimes.

What did you watch this week?

Jewel of the Nile (DVD)

Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (Theatre)

Reno 911 (TV)

The Soup (TV)

The Soup and Reno 911 is all I can remember that I watched on TV. The Jewel of the Nile wasn’t nearly as good as Romancing the Stone. I got pretty bored and almost fell asleep… I think the wife made it like 10 minutes before snoring. Indiana Jones was fun, but I can’t stand George Lucas and his ludicrous ideas and CGI. BOOOOOO! Those stupid gophers!!! /hate

It’s a three day weekend! Hurray for that and this recap of a “what did you enjoy” during this specific week of the year.

What did you listen to this week?

mc chris – mc chris is Dead (Listen – 5 Tracks)

Best of Bootie – 2006/2007

This mcchris is still rocking my face off. The Best of Bootie is the best mashup series I’ve heard. I’m sure we’ll be posting more music info on this later.

What did you play this week?

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Trials & Tribulations (DS)

Project Gotham Racing 4 (Xbox 360)

Geometry Wars: Waves (Xbox 360)

I’m still the best defense attorney! Also, got PGR4 in the mail (super cheap) and been loving it with my racing wheel. It also comes with Geometry Wars: Waves, which is ridiculously hard.

What did you watch this week?

American Gladiators (TV)

X-Files: Fight the Future (DVD)

Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigalo (DVD)

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (DVD)

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (Theatre)

Reno 911: Season One (DVD)

Reno 911: Miami (DVD)

The Soup (TV)

The Soup and Gladiators were really the only shows we watched on TV, the rest were all movies or shows on DVD. We rented X-Files, which was really good and makes me want to watch the TV show which I rarely did. We rented Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, but decided to watch a movie we already own (Deuce Bigalow) which was a thousand times better than Silver Surfer. I think if I could have only watched the parts with him it would have been better. Prince Caspian was really good, and it was better than I figured. Those kids turned from innocent closet adventurers to battlefield murderers in no time! It was great. We’ve been watching Reno 911 on DVD since I never seem to be awake when it’s on, and we got the movie and watched it again. The commentary on the film is absolutely hysterical.

How much was a gallon of gas this week?

$3.93(Speedway)

$3.39(GetGo)

We had 60 cents off each gallon at GetGo. Seems like it was only a week or so ago it was that “cheap.”

Well it’s Memorial Day and this is what you get when I’m busy working and trying to relax. How about yourself.

It’s Saturday! And this is the new day to expect the recap of a “what did you enjoy” during this specific week of the year.

What did you listen to this week?

Gnarls Barkley – The Odd Couple (Listen)

mc chris – mc chris is Dead (Listen – 5 Tracks)

I’m still loving the new Gnarls Barkley. I’ve listened to it Monday – Thursday this week on the ride up to work. So that 5-6 times again. Geez! I got my copy of the new mc chris album. They were nice enough to send all the pre-orders out early, and I got mine Thursday night. It’s pretty much been spinning all the time since then. I can honestly say, without a doubt, this is the best album he’s ever put out.

What did you play this week?

Mario Kart Wii (Wii)

Lost Winds (WiiWare)

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Trials & Tribulations (DS)

Super Smash Bros Brawl(Wii)

Mario Kart has still been really fun to play, especially online. WiiWare launched this Monday, and I got Lost Winds. It’s funny that this game looks way better than most Wii games. WiiWare is Nintendo’s answer to Xbox Live Arcade. I relaxed one day and played some Phoenix Wright. I need to beat it so I can let my brother-in-law borrow it, and I just picked up the next one for $15 on ebay. Mjblink was nice enough to go through the Subspace Emissary w/ me yesterday in SSBB. I still can’t stand playing through it, but I want TOON LINK. So I guess I gotta do it.

What did you watch this week?

P2 (DVD)

Miami Ink (TV)

Speed Racer (Theatre)

The Office (TV)

Superbad (DVD)

Dragonball Z: Season 2 (DVD)

The Soup (TV)

The Office finale was flippin’ sweet, and I love the new HR girl that thinks Kevin is “special.” The Soup, and Miami Ink were were good times. We watched Superbad again this week (it’s in my collection) and that was fun. DBZ is getting awesome again as Goku finally made it to Namek and just elbowed the shit out of Recoome! P2 was probably the biggest surprise of the week. I rented it for free from a Redbox so that was rad! Quick summary: girl stuck in parking garage + crazy guy trying to be all crazy on her = suspense and a good film no one has probably heard of. It stars the bad guy from Ghost Rider, and “Scarlett” from the upcoming GI Joe movie. Check it out if you’re into that kind of thing.

EDIT: Oh yeah! SPEED RACER! Totally forgot to write about this film. I went in w/ super low expectations and honestly, it was really enjoyable! I’ll be honest and say I haven’t seen a whole ton of the original cartoons, but hey who cares. They did a really good job. I’ll definitely watch it again when it’s out on DVD.

It’s actually up to 3.96 everywhere out here now.

So Saturday is the new Friday. Mjblink always comes over, and I’m usually to busy working from home to get this up on Fridays. Alas. Whatdidyoudo?

What did you listen to this week?

Dethklok – The Dethalbum

Gnarls Barkley – The Odd Couple

I’ve been enjoying some metal from Dethklok lately, and even though it’s from a cartoon, it’s freakin’ awesome. The new Gnarls Barkley is amazing, and I love every single track on it. Listened to it 7 times in two days. That’s right.

What did you play this week?

Mario Kart Wii (Wii)

I beat mjblink for a change, it was quite refreshing.

What did you watch this week?

Miami Ink (TV)

Ironman (Theatre)

The Office (TV)

30 Rock (TV)

Juno (DVD)

Layer Cake (DVD)

The Soup (TV)

The Office, 30 Rock, the Soup, and Miami Ink were quite enjoyable as always. Juno was fun and definitely recommended. Layer Cake stars Daniel Craig and I think it’s the reason that he got the Bond job (which I loved as well), it was pretty good although we had to turn subtitles on at some point (too Englishy). IRONMAN. What can I say about Ironman besides it totally sucked*? *By sucked, I mean the best movie I’ve seen this year and by far the best comic-book-turned-movie ever!!! GO SEE IT NOW. Everyone else has and they agree.

So busy! Here’ s a rushed recap of a “what did you enjoy” during this specific week of the year.

What did you listen to this week?

Basement Jaxx – Crazy Itch Radio

Selva de Mar – Olas Invisibles

I was rocking the Jaxx on the way to work. I love em!

What did you play this week?

Mario Kart Wii (Wii)

Some minor game flaws, but a blast to play anyways. The wifi works so that’s a plus!

What did you watch this week?

Mr. Bean’s Holiday (DVD)

Forbidden Kingdom (Theatre)

The Office (TV)

30 Rock (TV)

Lars and the Real Girl (DVD)

The Soup (TV)

We had grandparents in. We watched Mr. Bean and they loved it. We saw Forbidden Kingdom and as my brother-in-law described it, “It’s like a Kid in King Arthur’s Court on crack.” I agree. Good fun. Office, 30 Rock, & the 15 min of the Soup I saw were pretty great. Lars and the Real Girl was different than I thought, but really enjoyable. Check it out.

This week I tried to relax as much as possible. I don’t think it really worked but here’s a recap of a “what did you enjoy” during this specific week of the year.

What did you listen to this week?

The Darkness – Permission to Land

Does It Offend You, Yeah? – “You have no idea what you’re getting yourself into”

Selva de Mar – Olas Invisibles

The Darnkess’ Permission to Land is one of my favorite albums of all time. If I did that whole “you can only have so many albums on a desert island that just so happened to have electricity and a cd player what would you bring?” this album would be there. High pitched vocals and pure rock n’ roll all the way. I ended up buying Does It Offend You, Yeah?’s album and I still love it. I wish it had more than 10 tracks though, because it goes too fast. Also, I’ve been listening to a lot of classical radio, which is really relaxing and I love it. I saw Selva de Mar’s Olas Invisibles on free.napster.com and liked the cover, crossed my fingers and hit play album. LOVE IT. “The second album from popular Barcelona street musicians Selva de Mar. Featuring cello, hang, trumpet, vibraphone and voice.” Check it out.

What did you play this week?

River City Ransom (Wii VC)

I picked up River City Ransom this week on the Virtual Console for Wii. I had the GBA remake of it and really enjoyed it. For some reason, I totally missed out on this game as a kid, but I’m enjoying it now. The graphics totally remind me of “Dodgeball” for the NES and I love beat-em-ups. So yeah… I needed something to tide me over until Mario Kart Wii comes out and I’m debating on getting Okami for the Wii sometime.

What did you forget to mention that watched last week?

There Will Be Blood (DVD)

Becoming Jane (DVD)

There Will Be Blood was nominated for an academy award, which normally I steer clear of, but it was directed by Paul Thomas Anderson so I had to rent it. Visually it was awesome, story-wise it was interesting, length-wise it was long. I think 2hrs 45mins long. Was it worth it? Kind of. I’ll probably never watch it again, but it’s worth a rental. Also, we rented Becoming Jane. I did this because I’m a nice husband and my wife LOVES Jane Austin’s books. I just so happen to LOVE Anne Hathaway. I guess it worked out okay in the end. (It was better than I expected)

What did you watch this week?

Forgetting Sarah Marshall (Theatre)

Hitman (DVD)

King of Queens (TV/DVD)

Dragonball Z – Season 2 (TV/DVD)

South Park (TV)

The Office (TV)

30 Rock (TV)

South Park, The Office, & 30 Rock were all new and quite enjoyable. We’ve been having fun going through TV on DVD sets this week. We started back up w/ King of Queens and Dragonball Z. I wonder if you can guess which one I chose and which one my wife picked. We rented Hitman for a $1 and took it to my parents. It’s not the best, but it’s a guilty action movie pleasure. We ended up going to the theatre which is something we haven’t done since Vantage Point (blah). Forgetting Sarah Marshall was hilarious and a definite recommend from me. If you liked Freaks & Geeks or anything Judd Apatow was produced/directed go see it. These idiots almost ruined it because they wouldn’t such their fat faces, but they eventually got quiet. This is why my blood pressure is high.

So much stress and business this week. I hope yours was better, but now on with the recap of a “what did you enjoy” during this specific week of the year.

What did you listen to this week?

DJ Sammy – “Heaven”

Does It Offend You, Yeah? – “You have no idea what you’re getting yourself into”

Angels & Airwaves – “I-Empire”

The Fountain Official Soundtrack

DJ Sammy’s Heaven album was played many-a-times in the car to work. Very dancy. Angels & Airwaves we’ve already discussed, but I like it more and more each time I listen. The Fountain OST is amazing even though the film was a bit weird. Does It Offend You, Yeah? is a newer band that I never heard of until this week, and the only reason I started listening was because of the cover. Anyways, I love it, and although I haven’t purchased it yet, I’ve listened to it 3 times on free.napster.com and I suggest you do the same. Also, if you check them out on wikipedia you’ll see that they are often compared to Daft Punk and Justice, two bands that I love. Perhaps you will too?

What did you watch this week?

The Soup (TV)

House on Haunted Hill (Original) (DVD)

Cowboy Bebop (DVD)

Witchblade: Animated Series (Xbox Download)

South Park (TV)

The Office (TV)

We got House on Haunted Hill and Cowboy Bebop from the library this week. HOHH was interesting, but I’ll be honest and tell you I don’t really like older movies. Anyways, we’ll be comparing it to the newer one which I have already seen, and the wife has not (it was vice-versa on the original). I watched one episode of Cowboy Bebop and it was enjoyable, but I think I just love the music so whatever is on the screen just makes it that much better. Also, I checked out the first episode of Witchblade and it was pretty awesome. I just can’t afford to download each episode. I wish anime wasn’t as expensive as it is or I think that’s pretty much all I’d watch. South Park was hilarious as always (Ectoplasm!). The Office is still entertaining and one of the few shows I definitely make sure not to miss.

How much was a gallon of gas this week?

$3.31 (Speedway)

$3.62 (Speedway)

I had to get gas twice this week. The second time was wretched. Seriously why, other than greed, is this happening? Lame.

What did you do? New GIW drawings from this year start on Wednesday so hurray!
